The pro tip
All you need is a washing machine, plastic container or stainless steel sink to get started. With 500+ color recipes available on the Rit's website, it is almost certain you’ll find the right color for your needs. If dyeing fabric with 35% or more polyester, acrylic or acetate, use Rit DyeMore Synthetic Fiber Dye instead.
Rit Fabric Dye. One package contain enough dye for approximately 1 lb dry weight or 3 yards of medium weight fabric.
Directions:
Add 1 cup salt for best results when dyeing cotton, rayon, linen, ramie or blends of these fibers. Add 1 tablespoon laundry detergent to dye-bath. Use for most washable fabrics. Not recommended for 100% polyester, 100% acrylic or fabrics with special finishes, rubber backing, washable only in cold water or labeled Dry Clean Only.
