BAP Prosthetic Paint is a newer alternative to the traditional PAX Paint used in special effects makeup. While PAX Paint, a combination of Pros-Aide adhesive and Liquitex acrylic paint, has been a staple in the industry for its durability and flexibility, it has some drawbacks such as difficulty in removal and a tendency to stick to itself without a finishing powder. BAP Paint is designed to address some of these issues. Made with Beta Bond and cosmetic-grade pigments and dyes, BAP Paint offers better adhesion and a superior finish compared to traditional PAX Paint. It is highly durable, waterproof, and has a low water content, making it ideal for long-lasting applications on prosthetics and skin. Additionally, BAP Paint is noted for being more user-friendly, with easier application and removal processes.
